# How to Get a Referral Code

Access to Ionex requires a **referral code**. You’ll need one to create your account and start trading or providing liquidity. 

**Here are different ways to get it:**

1. Join the **Ionex community** on Telegram or Discord, where active members and moderators may share referral codes there.
2. You can also get a code from a friend or community member who already uses Ionex.
3. Look for hidden referral codes across the dapp.

Once you have a code, go to [pro.ionex.trade](https://pro.ionex.trade/) and click “Connect your Wallet”. A pop-up to create your account will show up; enter your username and referral code.

 After your account is created, you’ll be able to generate your own referral code, invite others, and earn extra Points when they trade.
